‘Superfly’ actor and rapper sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for multiple rapes of underage girls, a first for the rapper

The rapper, 30, has been sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for multiple rapes of underage girls.
His sentence can be ordered to be served consecutively to his other sentences, a spokeswoman for the US Attorney’s Office in New York told The Post.

‘We are confident that Mr. Thomas understands the nature of his crimes, is ashamed of his conduct, and is remorseful,’ the spokeswoman said.
‘He remains determined to learn from his mistakes and is committed to moving forward to rejoin his loved ones and to help others.’
The rapper, who is expected to file an appeal, was previously convicted of nine accounts of rape of 11 underage girls in 2009.
Thomas was sentenced to 100 years for the 2009 crimes, which included multiple charges of rape and sodomy

Thomas was convicted of nine accounts of rape and sodomy of 11 minors that occurred from July 2006 through January 2007.
The first trial ended in May with an acquittal of all the charges.
